Skin Care Tips For Monsoon: Natural



 
Monsoons carry a bundle of skin problems with it. Humidity, sweat and sudden temperature changes have adverse effect on our skin. Because of these sudden changes skin may be dull and dry at a time and sometime it becomes oily and we get confused which type of skin products to use. It happens to everyone. If you see these changes on your skin, don’t panic. You can prevent them. Our skin just demands special care during this season.
We may experience several problems like oil, acne, whiteheads increment during this season. But it doesn't mean that we don't need to moisturize our skin. We should regularly apply moisturizer. Otherwise wrinkles may appear. So do apply moisturizer twice a day. It should be water based. Avoid cream based moisturizer during this season.
One more thing that girls generally avoid during this season is Sunscreen. I know, clouds make weather so romantic, cool breeze make weather so fresh but it doesn't mean UV Rays won't affect our skin. Even though sun is not spraying its infrared rays over us, but our skin need protection from UV rays. So don't forget to apply water based sunscreen. If you are outside for a long time, apply it after every 4 hours. Decide your SPF as per your region; for example in India SPF 15 is good, beach side it may require higher SPF.
There are some Natural home remedies that may help you to make your skin flawless and supple in this Monsoon.


  • Neem is an anti-fungus and anti-bacterial. It's very effective for maintaining healthy skin and hairs. You should put some Neem leaves in your bathing water. It will remove bad body odor and also prevent from fungal and bacterial infection.

  • In Monsoon pimple, pigmentation and blackheads, whiteheads are common problems. For this, Boil 20 Neem leaves with 1/2 liter water. When water becomes green filters it and fills in the bottle. Clean your face with this water using cotton balls every night before going to bed.

  • Mix Sandal powder and Neem powder with rose water to make a paste. Apply this paste on your skin for 15-20 minutes and then wash it off. It prevents all skin problems during Monsoon.

  • Mix 1 egg white, 1 tablespoon honey and 1 tbsp curd/buttermilk and 3 tablespoon oats all together. If you don't want to apply egg on your skin so you can add rose water instead of egg white.

  • Apply this mixture on your face and neck in circular motion. Oats scrub your skin and removes blackheads and impurity from your skin. Leave this mixture on face for 15-20 minutes. Wash it off. If you have mixed egg white then you will see the effect on your face instantly.

  • Take 2 tablespoon green tea powder. Mix it with some yogurt. Pour 1 drop of essential oil in it. Apply it on face and neck and massage. Leave this for 15-20 minutes and wash it off.

  • Take 2 tablespoon orange powder peel (It’s easily available in the market). Mix some drops of lemon juice and make a paste using milk (Use toned or low fat's milk. Otherwise your skin will get oily and pimples may appear). Apply this mixture on your face and neck for 5-10 minutes and wash it off with cold water.

  • Mix 3 tablespoon Nigel la seeds with 1 tablespoon lemon juice. Apply it on your face for 10-15 minutes and then wash your face with cold water.

  • Massage your face with ice cubes once or twice a week. But make sure you have properly cleaned your face.
